Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday urged people to take Indian music to the world and embrace technology by creating music-based start-ups in the region. A virtual event was organized on the 92nd birth anniversary of Pandit Jasraj. On this occasion, the Prime Minister congratulated the people associated with the establishment of the Pandit Jasraj Cultural Foundation and said that these people have taken the responsibility to dedicate their love and devotion to the holy world.

At the launch of Pandit Jasraj Cultural Foundation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that music is a very mysterious subject. I am not very knowledgeable about it, but the extensive knowledge that our sages have given about voice and sound is amazing. I am glad that all of you are carrying forward his classical legacy.

Taking forward his point, Prime Minister Modi also said that when the effect of technology is in every field, then there should be a revolution of technology and IT in the field of music too. Create startups in India that are completely dedicated to music, based on Indian musical instruments, based on Indian musical traditions. Today we are renaissance of our art and culture centers like Kashi, through our faith in environmental protection and love of nature, today India is showing the way to the world through it.

During the online program, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he has received information that the objective of Pandit Jasraj Cultural Foundation is to preserve the heritage of culture and music of India. I congratulate all of you for this innovative work of establishing Pandit Jasraj Cultural Foundation on this day. Let us tell you that Pandit Jasraj has died in the year 2020 due to a heart attack at his residence in New Jersey.
