Meerut: He is a fan of Lata Mangeshkar like millions of people across the world, but Gaurav Sharma’s devotion is unparalleled.

He has every book written on Lata Mangeshkar, even by Pakistani and Australian authors, and his collection includes all the songs sung by him.

He has also established six Lata Vatikas in schools, where he has planted thousands of trees in honor of the great singer.

Sharma, 39, says he has devoted his entire life to worshiping their arts and crafts, not even getting married.

Sharma’s house is a temple of Lata ji which he now wants to convert into a museum. A large framed photo of the singer hangs on the wall of the drawing room, while many more of her pictures have been put up across the room.

Sharma’s wardrobe is full of news clippings about Lata Mangeshkar.

Over the years, Sharma’s neighbors have been waking up to hear bhajans sung by Lata Mangeshkar.

Sharma told reporters that I appeal to the Prime Minister, take all my collections to a museum in his honor.

He further said that for me, he is immortal. She is a star and will always twinkle in the night sky. I am neither sad nor happy. His life was full of struggles.

Sharma said that he was just six years old in 1988, when he first heard a song sung by the singer.

Radha Na Bole was from the 1955 film Azad.

Sharma said that my grandmother used to hum that tune often. He told me about Lataji’s struggles, and gave me a picture of him. He had said that if you want to search, then search for them.
