Mumbai: Actor Anant Vidhat, who has been seen in films like Mardaani, Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai, will be next seen in the upcoming film Mere Desh Ki Dharti opposite Divyendu Sharma.

The film stars Anant and Divyendu, playing the role of engineers, who use their skills to help the country’s farmers.

Talking on this, Anant said, “Mere Desh Ki Dharti is an important film for me in many ways, as it is my first film as a lead role and it is a beautiful coincidence to work with my friend (Divyandu). Aspired to be an actor since our college days, which is like a cherry on the cake.

He further added, “I am very happy to play a parallel role with Divyendu and while shooting we reminisced about our college days, this is a film and a shoot, which I will cherish for a long time.

On the response received for the web series, Mai, he said, “So far it has been a dream for me as a film actor. The whole experience with Mai was absolutely surreal. The kind of appreciation I have received. Prashant is great for my character, as this character is the talk of the town due to its prominence.

Mere Desh Ki Dharti will hit the theaters on May 6.
