Ramon Kakkar: Controlling your ego is an art.

Mumbai: Actress Ramon Kakkar, who has featured in popular shows like Yeh Teri Galiyan, Apna Time Bhi Aayega and Kyun Uthe Dil Chhod Aaye, celebrates May 11 as Ego Awareness Day. It seems the best art is to gain control over your ego.
She says: Our ego can take away many good things from our life and take away many loved ones from us. Our ego will affect the way we live our life and we will not be able to deal with disappointments or difficulties in a healthy way and disappointments are part of life.
In a way, ego will kill our happiness. I personally believe that gaining control over our ego is the best art we can all do for ourselves or else it will keep getting in the way of our relationships, our careers and our lives.
Ramon who has also worked in iconic shows like Bhabhi and Kusum, believes that ego is the biggest enemy of life.
She adds: Being arrogant can make you irrational. When you just want to win or prove others wrong, you start acting in ways that are not very diplomatic or rational. Instead of trying to understand things from the point of view of ta*++++++++++++++++++++++++++++r* you will always say and do such things Which you may regret if you only want to prove that you are right.
This is what the ego does to you – it takes over everything, takes away our sense of rationality. It forces us to make everything about ourselves. We agree that self esteem and confidence are essential to survive in this big bad world, but ego is our worst enemy.
