Television actress Neha Sargam will soon be seen in the show Yashomati Maiya Ke Nandlala. The actress recently visited Vrindavan and Mathura to seek God’s blessings for the success of the show as well as shared her thoughts about her character.

On playing Yashoda and how she is portraying this character in a different way, the actress says, “So far I have seen actresses playing Yashoda as a very quintessential mother, which is very positive, very is polite. I am not playing that mother. I am a little different, and I never hesitate to express myself.

When asked if she is related to the character she replies, I am totally related to my character and this is what my director keeps saying. Having done both TV and OTT, they feel that audiences tend to stick to the latter as it has more relatable content and such shows are more successful on TV as well.

On television and OTT, the actress says, “I think the reason why the audience shifted to OTT is because it is related. People are crazy sometimes. They cannot talk without using abusive language or abusive language. This is the reason why Mizarpur was liked by the audience. They get to see characters they can connect well with or they look like people we often meet or interact with on a day-to-day basis.

The most challenging part of her role in this show was the language, as she says, to get into the skin of this character, I have to speak Braj Bhasha fluently and it was not easy. But when my hairdresser told me he wanted to learn this language from me I thought my purpose was solved.

The actress who first appeared in the show Indian Idol 4 and later moved on to acting has appeared in several shows including Chand Chupa Badal Mein, Ramayan: Sabke Jeevan Ka Aadhar, Yeh Hai Aashiqui and OTT shows.

The actress says that, I always wanted to be a singer. When I was studying advertising and marketing I thought maybe I should join a good advertising agency and continue my singing. But things changed and were on edge.

Yashomati Maiya Ke Nandlala will premiere on June 13 on Sony Entertainment Television.
