Mumbai: Filmmaker Karan Malhotra has finally broken his silence about his directorial venture Shamshera at the box office. He wrote a note and apologized for skipping the film.
Malhotra’s film Shamshera featuring names like Ranbir Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt failed to garner audiences in theatres.
Malhotra shared a note on Twitter. He wrote, My dear Shamshera, you are as majestic as you are. It is important for me to express myself on this platform because here is where the love, hate, celebration and humiliation exist for you.
I want to apologize to you for leaving you for the past few days because I could not handle the hatred and anger. My withdrawal was my weakness and there is no excuse for it. But now here I am, standing with you. Feeling proud and honored that you are mine.
The director said, will face everything together, the good, the bad and the ugly and the Shamshera family. The love, blessings and concern showered on us is the most precious and no one can take it away from us.
The film has collected Rs 36 crore since its release on July 22.
