Karan Malhotra, director of the film Shamshera, told that Sanjay Dutt silently faced the disease without informing anyone about cancer. People did not know that they had cancer. Karan said, ‘The news of Sanjay sir having cancer was like a huge shock to all of us. We had no idea about it. He was talking comfortably and also acted as if nothing had happened.

I think it is because of his passion that he (Sanjay Dutt) has conquered this and he still is. He was an inspiration to everyone on the sets. Everyone was really surprised by this news, but the actor (Sanjay Dutt) has won it due to his courage.
