Mumbai: Samar Khan, the producer of the soon to be released combat action webseries Shoorveer, shared the revolutionary technology that was used to create the special effects of the show. The makers have used the Unreal Engine, a technology that has previously been used in George Lucas’ Star Wars and other similar films.

Throwing light on how the makers approached the shooting of the fighter jets in the series, Samar Khan shared, We have shot the entire sequence in 3 parts. The first part was live action where fighter jets take off and land. The second part is a CG involving aerial combat. All the planes were built first and then Kanishk worked with the DOP to devise a way for the planes to take to the sky. This was done with the help of computer graphics and the Unreal Engine.

It takes a closer look at the bonds of teammates, and mentors, in the face of red alert challenges that threaten the country’s peace and security. Filled with deep scenes of aerial warfare, ground operations and intelligence sleuths, the show chronicles the emotions and actions of our national forces behind the massive doors.

Continuing, he explained, the Unreal Engine is the technology being used by Disney for Star Wars and other top movies. It is the preferred technology for filmmakers around the world to replace the green screen. The third part that we shot was the cockpit section. Where we have built the cockpits and the environment behind them are all LED screens.

Shoorveer starring Makrand Deshpande, Manish Choudhary, Regina Cassandra, Armaan Ralhan, Adil Khan, Abhishek Saha, Anjali Barot, Kuldeep Sarin, Arif Zakaria, Faisal Rashid, Sahil Mehta and Shivya Pathani to debut on OTT from July 15 on Disney Plus Hotstar Is.
