Mumbai: Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor is happy that his last release ‘Jersey’ has been well received by OTT audiences across the globe.
The film was initially released in theaters on April 22 and was finally released on Netflix on May 20.
Jersey along with Gangubai Kathiawadi, RRR and Jana Gana Mana has topped the chart of Netflix’s top 10 non-English movies since its release on Netflix.
Talking about Jersey ko mile love, Shahid shared, Jersey is a special film and I am glad that it found its home on Netflix. It’s great to see that audiences across the world are still watching this film and giving it the love it deserves. Almost 20 days after the launch, the film is still trending worldwide, I am very excited to see the overwhelming response.
Talking about the appreciation that Jana Gana Mana has received, director Saeed Jose Antony shared, As a director of Jana Gana Mana it is great to see that an Indian film from Malayalam cinema has a chance to be watched and loved by the audience. Platform has been found. It is trending on Hash8 among non-English films globally and on Netflix globally.
