Will Aamir Khan’s Lagaan be adapted into a Broadway show in the UK?

Mumbai: Lagaan Once Upon A Time completed 21 years of its release in Hindi cinema on Wednesday. Now the Aamir Khan starrer will be adapted as a Broadway show in the UK.
According to the source, several leading UK producers have requested Aamir Khan Productions for the rights and a final decision regarding the West End theater will be taken soon.
The West End theater equivalent of Broadway shows is one of the largest and most popular theaters worldwide.
The source added, “Aamir Khan’s team is yet to take a final call on it. The makers have different plans, including a worldwide tour of the show featuring a completely original cast.
Lagaan is a story set in 1893 during the late Victorian period of the colonial British Raj in India.
The film is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and produced by Aamir Khan Productions.
On the work front, Aamir is gearing up for the release of Laal Singh Chaddha on August 11.
